SMART BALL IN CRICKET
In this digital world where technology is rapidly growing and changing the lifestyle of people in various aspects. It also changed the entire face of various fields such as sports, health, agriculture etc. to next level with this huge advancement of science and technology.Technology makes people to think out of box every time and come up with new invention's now and then.
Today we are going to discuss this impact in one important field in sports which is CRICKET a widely famous sport loved by everyone irrespective of age, gender etc. Scientists came up with a unique idea of "micro-chip" in cricket ball which can change the course of game to next level with huge benefits for players. As we see in-game there will be wrong calls in a game by umpires and even sometimes with technology like snickometer"", "Hotspot", "Drs" etc which will change the game from one side to other.
This small chip in cricket ball will be helpful as it does smart work by reducing the time not depending on the third umpires for decision in particular situations and giving the correct results in less span of time.
This chip can calculate the correct results of speed of delivery at three different levels :
->Point of Release from bowler
->Pre bounce (Point from release to the first time on ground)
->Post bounce( point from impact on ground to the contact of bat or caught by keeper)
The advantage of this calculation is that we can understand the pitch of that game very well and how it is behaving throughout the game which will be beneficial for both BATSMAN and BOWLER. It also gives the result of catches in close call whether bat is in contact with the ball ,or catch taken cleanly by the player when it's too close to the grass of the ground as it detects if it touches the ground or bat and gives results spontaneously which is huge positive.
This innovative idea is developed by SportCor an innovative company team up with "Kookaburra" a ball manufacturing company in Australia has made this great innovation to happen in great game of cricket.
According to resources the testing is in final stages and will be applicable in coming edition of popular tournament known as "Big-Bash" a 20-20 domestic tournament played in Australia.
