WhatsApp which is widely used across the globe for communication with people across globe at ease.Day by day this application gets updated according to the situation in present day world like audio calls, video calls, stickers in chat messenger, status updates such audio, video etc which are also found in various social networking applications such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and so on. For such a vital application in our daily routine it needs to secured by providing the in-built feature instead of using apps like Applock, 360Security etc. This extra apps might affect device performance as apps requires permission to grant security for other applications and if there is virus in any such application , device gets affected. In such cases it is better to have in-built security which is safe and secure. Few apps like GooglePay etc have in-built security which is safe. This feature is likely to introduced in beta version of WhatsApp.
To enable the feature we need to follow the below steps:
Settings > Account > Privacy and tap on the Fingerprint lock option.
NOTE: This feature is only available in latest 2.19.221 beta version of the app.
Once the fingerprint set up is compplete one can even reply to the dm's received without even unlocking the application as it is already a feature of this application. Advantage of this feature is one can decide the time interval between lock and unlockstate of this app. One can set the interval at One Minute and 30 Seconds after interval it gets locked automatically.
One more important feature is one can disable the "Show contents in notifications" option where no one can see the messages and who has sent it which is highly secure. This feature is available only when you have Fingerprint lock feature enabled on your phone.
This feature makes this application even more user friendly and secure so that anyone can use it and send whatever they want without any fear that one will see that unless and until the owner opens the app.
